Vintage Japanese Ichimatsu type doll. This 6" doll is a little boy dressed in what appears to be Thailand traditional costume. It is a composition doll; possibly gofu (ground oyster shell). It is a pale flesh color. The head, legs and arms are separate pieces held together by the fabric body. His clothing featuring an embroidered floral design and has a silk look, but could be synthetic material. ERNST HEUBACH bisque PIANO BABY, in very good conditions. Fully marked at the bottom (with the maker symbol & the number 59 - both impressed - and the number 27 under-glazed in red), with blue intaglio eyes and great details on face, body and gown.
