Lovely vintage (probably Taisho Period) Japanese writing box or suzuribako. The box is done in black lacquer over a wood base. The box is decorated with gold lacquer,depicting flowers. The piece is signed to the lower right of the design.Vintage Chinese Book Stand Wood With Brass or Copper Decor on the Ends. This stand appears to be made of mahogany, as it is dark and heavy. It is beautifully decorated with Chinese motif cutouts that are nailed into each end of the bookcase.Beautiful Vintage Japanese Art Pottery Stylized Horse Statue features a charming bridled horse with head tilted back, rounded legs and a spiral design on both sides. The legs, eye and ears are hollowed out, (vent holes?) and the entire piece is finished with a mossy green glaze. This wonderfully detailed piece is indicative of Italian made Bitossi art pottery, also produced in the mid 20th century.
Unique Vintage Chinese Character Lock features six spinning characters pieces that open when correctly lined up. This piece appears to be made of brass and has applied ornamental pieces of both ends that each have two intricate figures and two flying bats. There are pieces of tape atop the characters believed to be the combination.

Vintage Japanese Ichimatsu type doll. This 6" doll is a little boy dressed in what appears to be Thailand traditional costume. It is a composition doll; possibly gofu (ground oyster shell). It is a pale flesh color. The head, legs and arms are separate pieces held together by the fabric body. His clothing featuring an embroidered floral design and has a silk look, but could be synthetic material.
Beautiful Chinese Bleu de Hue Chinese Porcelain Rice Bowl features a lovely hand painted scroll decoration on the outside of the dish. This bowl is a great example of the Chinese blue and white porcelain style Bleu de Hue, which was designed for export to the Vietnamese market.

Elaborately Carved Vintage Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer Vase. It has ornately recessed carvings and a blue lacquer interior. Shoulder and neck have very finely detailed scroll and floral carvings. Because it is lacquered inside, it can be used for plants. This is a wonderful example of cinnabar lacquer. The lacquer was applied coat by coat to the core in up to 300 coats, or until a thickness that could be carved was achieved. This requires an enormous amount of time and labor, as each layer must dry and be polished before the next layer is applied. Since lacquer hardens slowly, only one layer could be applied per day. When all the layers are applied, the craftsman can carve an elaborate design into the surface.Beautiful vintage Chinese Peking glass vase. The heavy glass vase is a deep red and has an etched design of a hawk on a pine tree branch. There are two etched marks that feature Chinese language characters.Wonderful Antique Japanese bronze water pouring jug in the form of a bamboo bucket. From the late Edo period or Mid-19th Century. Hinged spout cover. Probably used for the Tea Ceremony.
Rare Antique 19th Century Chinese White or Light Celadon Jade Belt Hook has been converted into a letter opener by affixing the hook to a ornately decorated hammered brass blade. There is a jade button on the bottom of carving to keep the opener secure. The beautiful brass letter opener is engraved on both sides with lotus flowers and leaves floating in water. The water is depicted as small, round engravings. The jade carving is quite nice featuring a stylized dragons head. This light/white colored jade hook is the most sought after when it comes to jade and would be a prized addition to any collection.
